Shiny Shorts are made of polyamide, mainly polyamide
6.6 also called 'Nylon'. The material can have many different
characteristics but when they are processed in a determined way it has a
silky touch and the shiny look. The shorts vary but one can distinguish
between three basic models. For
example the classic sprinter short which is high cut on the side and
rounded at the corners. Overlapping front and back are stitched together
on the side.
Or there is the model which I call the 'Short Short'. When it is an
adidas short it will often be one of the famous 'Beckenbauer' models.
Some of them have a little side slit. And finally there is the 'Long
Short' model which is more of a boxer-shorts type. They also can have a
little side slit.
All these shorts have an elastic waistband, a tie cord, except most
sprinter models, and a back pocket. Nearly all do also have an inner
slip which is often removed to enhance the Feeling. The
patterns are quiet conform and there are three main styles. The plain
(1) material is the most frequent, next are with shades (2) and
pinstripes (3). The last pattern is only used by puma and is very rare.
